How It Works

Every Verimont project comes with 5 promises, a 6-step process, and 3 finish levels. Here's exactly what each one means for you.

The Verimont Promise

Five commitments on every project, in writing:

Guaranteed completion date. If we're late for reasons within our control, we take $100 off your final invoice for every day we're late, up to 10% of your project price.

Same-day response. Contact us by 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and you'll hear back the same day.

Daily progress reports. Every day we work on your project, you get photos and updates on your phone.

No surprise charges. The price we quote is the price you pay for the agreed scope. Anything extra is explained, priced, and approved by you in writing first.

Workmanship guarantee. If a workmanship issue comes up within 12 months, we'll inspect it and make it right.

Terms apply. See the full Promise Terms.

Our 6-step process

Step 1: You reach out

What happens: You call, text, or fill out the form. We reply the same day, ask a few questions, and set up a visit.

What you do: Tell us what you want done. Photos of the space help.

What you get: A scheduled visit at a time that works for you.

Step 2: We visit your home

What happens: We look at the space, take measurements and photos, and talk through what matters to you. It's free.

What you do: Show us the space and tell us your must-haves, your budget range, and your timeline.

What you get: Straight answers to your questions.

Step 3: You get a written quote

What happens: Within 2 business days for most projects, we send a written quote. Larger projects that need plans, engineering, or supplier quotes can take longer; if yours does, we'll give you the date at the visit. It lists exactly what's included and what isn't, the materials, the price, the payment schedule, and the start and finish dates. Remodel quotes come with three finish levels (explained below), so you choose your budget up front.

What you do: Read it, ask questions, and decide. No pressure.

What you get: A clear document you can understand without us there to explain it.

Step 4: You sign and we schedule

What happens: You sign the contract and pay a small deposit. We confirm your selections and lock in your start date.

What you do: Sign, pay the deposit, and confirm your choices (colors, fixtures, finishes).

What you get: Your start date in writing and a short "what to expect" message before day one.

Step 5: We build

What happens: We do the work. Every work day, you get photos and an update. If anything needs to change, you approve it in writing first. You pay in stages, only as each stage is finished.

What you do: Check your daily update. Approve any changes.

What you get: A clear picture of progress every day, with no surprise charges.

Step 6: Final walkthrough

What happens: We walk through the finished work with you, fix anything on the touch-up list, and wrap up.

What you do: Walk through with us and point out anything you see.

What you get: Final photos, your 12-month workmanship guarantee, care tips, and your final invoice.

Our 3 finish levels

Every remodel quote comes with three finish levels, so you choose your budget before we start instead of discovering it halfway through.

Minimum: Everything your project needs, done right, with dependable standard materials.

Preferred: The level we recommend for most homes. Better materials and finishes that look better and last longer.

Signature: Top-tier materials and custom details for a finish that stands out.

How your price stays put: Each level sets a budget for every item, like tile, vanity, and fixtures. Choose anything within it and your price stays the same. Want something above it? We show you the difference in writing before anything is ordered.

Tips: how to stay on budget

In a national study, about 1 in 3 homeowners went over their remodeling budget. The top reasons: things cost more than expected, the job turned out more complex, and homeowners upgraded products along the way. Here’s how we help you avoid all three.

Keep a cushion. Your quote is a fixed price. Still, set aside about 10–15% in case something needs fixing that nobody can see yet, like rot or an old leak behind a wall, or you decide to add something. Nothing extra happens without your written OK. If you don’t need it, it stays in your pocket.

Pick your finish level up front. Upgrading finishes partway through is one of the most common ways budgets grow. Choosing your level before we start locks in your price.

Decide before we start. Every change after work begins costs more and pushes back your finish date. Final choices before day one protect both.

Words you'll hear (and what they mean)

Estimate: Our free visit, where we see the space, take measurements, and answer your questions.

Quote: Our written price for your project. It's a fixed price for the work listed, not a guess.

Scope of work: The list of exactly what we will and won't do.

Contract: The signed agreement: the scope, price, schedule, and payment terms.

Deposit: The first, small payment when you sign. California law caps it at $1,000 or 10% of the price, whichever is less.

Progress payment: A payment due when a specific stage of work is finished.

Invoice: The bill for a finished stage, sent with photos of that stage.

Change order: A written change to the plan, with its price and any new date. Nothing changes until you approve it.

Punch list: The short list of final touch-ups found at the walkthrough.

Workmanship guarantee: Our promise to fix workmanship issues for 12 months after completion.

Common questions

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The visit and your written quote cost nothing, and you're under no obligation.

Do I need to be home during the work?

For the visit and the final walkthrough, yes. During the work, not necessarily. Your daily updates show you the progress.

When do I pay?

A small deposit when you sign, then progress payments as each stage is finished, never ahead of the work.

What if you find a problem behind the walls?

We stop, show you photos, explain the fix, and price it as a change order. Nothing extra happens without your written approval.

How do you accept payment?

Credit and debit cards, Zelle, ACH bank transfer, and checks.

Are the five promises really in writing?

Yes. They're part of every contract we sign, and the full terms are on our Promise Terms page.

What if I want to upgrade one item, like the flooring or a faucet?

You can. Your finish level sets a budget for each item. If you pick something above that budget, you pay only the difference for that one item, and the rest of your price stays the same. We show you the new total in writing before anything is ordered.
